Confessional (1689), Reformed, Baptist

Who we are and what we believe

About Us

Reformed: We are a Reformed baptist church that holds to the doctrines of Grace that came as a blessing to the churches during the period fo the great reformation. We subscribe to the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith as a guiding document that points to our only authority and source for sound teaching, the Bible.

New Name: Cornerstone Reformed Baptist was formerly known as Gate II Church

Orderly: worship of the Holy, Holy, Holy, God is ordered according to the Bible. We keep things ordered, simple, and joyful.

Friendly: We love people and we hope to get a chance to show it.

Serious: About our faith. The Holy Scriptures are the only sufficient, certain, and infallible standard of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience1 (1 Timothy 3:15–17Isaiah 8:20Luke 16:2931Ephesians 2:20.) Subordinate documents that we find helpful in our understanding of Scripture are the Baptist Catechism, the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, the Apostle’s Creed, Nicene Creed, and Athanasian Creed. Sundays are the Lord’s day. We set aside the day for the worship of God.

Practical: Our faith is lively and meant to be lived out in Christian community. It is far more than knowing the right things, though that is important. We are called to “love one another earnestly”, and show hospitality, and serve one another in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Peter 4:7-10).
